Dallas Regional Coordinator

Join our team! The Strauss Institute is looking for a professional in the Dallas area to join our team part-time as the regional coordinator for our Speak Up Speak Out (SUSO) program. The SUSO program is a student voice initiative built upon the principles of empowering students to become civically engaged in their communities as the future leaders of our society. The regional coordinator helps coordinate school and student participation in the Dallas area while planning a regional fair for the students to compete at to qualify for the state competition.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting school district participants
  • Conducting (virtual/in-person) training or check-ins with teachers to ensure project timeline completion during fall 2024
  • Coordinating a regional fair for January/Feb 2025, providing team winner information and teacher contact to the Strauss Institute
  • Maintaining digital records of communication for each school and contact lists for the region
  • Meeting with Strauss Institute Staff for monthly check-ins

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in education, project management, or civic education programs
  • Ability to build relationships with educators and students
  • Familiarity with event planning or coordination is a plus
