Anthony Betori

Healthy Futures of Texas

Anthony Betori is the Director of Curriculum and Innovation at Healthy Futures of Texas, a certified Project Management Professional, and the founder of Nonprofit Visions LLC. He holds a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University completed as a Bloomberg Fellow in Adolescent Health. Anthony grew up in Toledo, Ohio, then studied and lived in Chicago, Illinois for ten years, where his work focused on education, youth empowerment, HIV-related services, and workforce development. He moved to Texas in 2018, and his work at Healthy Futures focuses on innovating new ways to involve young people in advocacy and curriculum development around sex ed and healthcare. In his work at Nonprofit Visions, he trains nonprofit professionals on the implementation of excellent program management skills to make meaningful social impact. He was awarded the 2020 Rising Star award from the Texas Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and the 2022 SA Light award by the San Antonio Express-News.

Denise Davis

Davis Kaufman PLLC

Denise Davis is a law partner at Davis Kaufman, PLLC, a boutique law firm lobby practice in Austin, Texas which was founded in 2012 with her law partner, Lisa O. Kaufman. Denise has been been consistently ranked as a top tier lobbyist by Capitol Inside since 2013 and Davis Kaufman PLLC has also been consistently ranked as a top lobby law firm by Capitol Inside since 2013. Additionally, Ms. Davis was recently “Female Powerhouse of the Year” in 2025 by USLege.

Before founding Davis Kaufman PLLC, Ms. Davis worked for many years in the Texas Capitol, including serving as Chief of Staff to Speaker Joe R. Straus, and for several sessions as House Parliamentarian and Special Counsel to the Texas House of Representatives. Denise has also practiced as Special Counsel in the Corporate Section of Baker Botts, LLP.

In addition to her public service and private sector work, Denise has been active in numerous civic organizations over the years, including the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (2026 Chair), the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, the KLRU/PBS Board of Directors, The Annette Strauss Institute Advisory Council (co-Chair), Mission Capital, Social Venture Partners, The Links, Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc..

Ms. Davis is a native Texan, a wife, and a graduate of the University of Texas At Austin’ (College of Liberal Arts) and of The University’s School of Law. She is the proud mom of both a Texas Longhorn undergrad (Chloe) and a graduate of UT Law School (Colin).

Adrian Hernandez

The Majestic & Empire Theatres and The Espee

Adrian Hernandez moved from Corpus Christi to San Antonio 12 years ago and has called the city home ever since. A CAST Schools alum with a passion for entertainment, community, and leadership, he began his career in entertainment at 18 right after high school. Now 21, he serves as the Customer Experience Assistant Manager at The Majestic & Empire Theatres and The Espee, helping create unforgettable live experiences and ensuring the safety of the guest and artist.

David E. Johnson, Ed.D.

 

David E. Johnson, Ed.D. is a career-long, certificated educator who has served as a music teacher, adjunct professor, educational consultant, educational administrator, and leadership coach in New York, Indiana, Texas, and Arizona. He has inspired people, developed and enacted strategic plans, steered fundraising campaigns, managed budgets, aligned curriculum, analyzed data, and has taught and trained in a range of settings and at all educational levels. Along with being an educator, he is also a decorated, former U.S. Air Force Reserve colonel, who served in various critical settings and capacities during OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.

Ana O’Quin, LMSW

Girls Empowerment Network

Ana O’Quin, LMSW, brings with her a passion for and diverse experience in macro-level policy work and youth engagement. Ana graduated from Baylor University with her BSW and from University of Texas with her MSW, with focus on Administrative and Policy Practice. While at UT, she led the National Alliance of Mental Illness’s (NAMI) youth and mental policy work at the 87th legislature, and then served as the mental health referral coordinator with Dell Medical School’s psychiatry and behavioral health TCHATT program. She currently is the Advocacy Program Manager at Girls Empowerment Network, where she both does direct advocacy work at the federal, local, and state level and teaches youth to discover their own activist voices. When she is not doing policy work, she runs an Austin matcha review account, crochets, and takes ice skating lessons at the local ice rink.

Zohaib “Zo” Qadri

Austin District 9 Council Member

Zohaib “Zo” Qadri was elected to represent Austin’s District 9 in 2022, serving neighborhoods including Downtown, West Campus, Hyde Park, Bouldin Creek, and Mueller. The first-born child of immigrants, Zo moved to Texas at 12 and later studied biology at UT Austin before earning graduate degrees in Public Administration and Global Affairs. Inspired by Austin’s housing and cost-of-living challenges, he shifted from medicine to public service.

Zo’s career spans community advocacy, political organizing, and legislative work. He led AAPI outreach for Beto O’Rourke’s 2018 Senate campaign, served in the Texas House of Representatives, and was a Regional Organizing Director for Elizabeth Warren’s 2020 presidential campaign. Throughout the pandemic, he volunteered with local aid groups supporting underserved communities. Zo has also served on multiple civic boards, including Ground Game Texas. He lives in Central Austin with his wife, Wafa, a physician assistant, and their cat, Daisy Mae.

Elijah Serena

Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities

Elijah Serena is a first-generation student pursuing his doctoral degree in Interdisciplinary Leadership at Texas Lutheran University, and he works for the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) as a student services Program Manager. In his free time, he enjoys being with friends and family, going to San Antonio Spurs games with his wife, and taking care of their dog, Daisy.
