Folakemi Elekolusi is a 3rd year student at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Government with minors in Statistics and Data Science, Black Studies, and History. She is interested in advocacy in many areas concerning young people. On campus, she serves as the Coalition Director of the Tenants Union, Financial Director of the Texas Orange Jackets (the official hostess of the University), and Senior FIG Mentor. She is passionate about civic engagement and activism. In the past, she was a congressional fellow with Running Start and interned for Congressman Lloyd Doggett. She also worked for Council Member Zo Qadri, Commissioner Lesley Briones, and Annie's List. In her free time, she enjoys binging documentaries, reading, and trying new activities around Austin.
