Bailey is a junior studying Plan II Honors and Statistics & Data Sciences. His areas of interest include voter turnout, demographic representation, and attitudes toward ranked-choice voting. Outside of his work at the Annette Strauss Institute, he can be found around campus researching the development of learning and memory in the human brain with his neuroscience lab, advocating for expanding and improving access to green spaces across Austin, and volunteering with various student organizations he's involved in. Returning for a second year as an intern, Bailey is quite excited to continue his ongoing work on political hot mic moments, democracy in rural Alaska, and indicators of electoral representation in voter turnout. Oddly enough, despite all this, he still wants to go to medical school after he graduates from UT.
