Abigail earned her B.S. in EC–6 Education from LeTourneau University and her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction Design from UT Tyler in 2023. She began her graduate studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs in the fall of 2025. Over the past seven years, she has worked in public education as both an elementary teacher and a professional development trainer for educators. Abigail also served as an instructional materials reviewer and writer for the 2024 State Board of Education curriculum adoption cycle, where her reports played a key role in informing the Board’s decisions on the approval of instructional materials. Through her work in public education, Abigail developed a strong passion for education reform as she witnessed firsthand the systemic inequities affecting students and educators. She is thrilled to join the Annette Strauss Institute, where she will help promote student civic engagement through the Speak Up Speak Out program!
